Baltimore, Maryland

Who:
Pastor Lyn O’Berry, Pastor at The Church on Warren at Federal Hill, hosts and works closely with our mission groups. This church is the former Lee Street Memorial Baptist Church. Mission trips typically last 7 days with travel to Baltimore on a Monday and travel back on a Sunday.

What:
Most of our mission trips will include some or all of the following activities:
  • Prayer walking
  • Scripture distribution
  • Servant evangelism
  • Personal witnessing
  • Singing
  • Testifying
  • Preaching
  • Block party
  • Survey work
When:
Baltimore trips are typically held in the summer. A member of the Strategic Mission Partners (SMP) staff meets the team at the airport and accompanies them on shuttle transport to arranged accommodations.

Where:
Comfortable and affordable accommodations are arranged by SMP. Typically, team members of the same gender or married couples share rooming. All costs are included in the total trip cost.

Why?
Why do we do this project?
  1. To love and obey Jesus by fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1.8.
  2. To support the NAMB strategic focus city strategy by planting new churches in unchurched areas of Baltimore in order to reach this large lost population with the Gospel.
  3. To assist existing churches and pastors in reaching the lost of Baltimore.

Our outreach efforts include evangelizing with the local community
that surrounds our Baltimore venue this past year 2007
– The Church on Warren Avenue on Federal Hill.

One day out of the Baltimore trip is used to visit nearby scenic Washington DC.
The team took the opportunity to do some prayer walking and
praying for our nation at the Washington Monument.

Excited and happy youth participate in a youth musical
at the Baltimore Church on Warren Avenue.
