Church
planters Scott & Judy Knox were led by God to move to Baker City
Oregon from the Dallas Texas area to start a church. We go to Baker
City to support the couple and help them reach into the community with
the word of God. The Blue Mountain Baptist Church is a result of God’s hand blessing Scott and Judy’s obedience in serving Him.
What:
Most of our mission trips will include some or all of the following activities:
- Team meetings and devotions
- Community service projects
- Prayer walking
- Block parties
- Evangelism opportunities
- Outreach
- Scripture distribution
- Personal witnessing
- Singing
- Testifying
- Preaching
When:
Travel
to Baker City is in September. Be prepared for crisp to cold
temperatures, but also for a chance to breath in fresh, clean air. You
will be met at the airport and accompanied on shuttle transportation to
arranged accommodations.
Where:
Comfortable shared rooming is available at local hotels. All costs are included in the total trip cost.
Why?
Why do we do this project?
- To love and obey Jesus by fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1.8.
- To support the NAMB
strategic focus city strategy by planting new churches in unchurched
areas of Oregon in order to reach this large lost population with the
Gospel.
- To assist existing churches and pastors in reaching the lost of Oregon.
The 2007 mission team helped missionaries Scott and Judy Knox
launch their new church plant in Baker City, Oregon.
